Equal Opportunity Cell - Overview

Equal Opportunity Cell

The Equal Opportunity Cell  is established to ensure that students and staff from marginalized and underrepresented groups—such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), minorities, women, and persons with disabilities—have equal access to all academic and extracurricular opportunities available within the institution.

The cell works in line with the directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and government policies to promote equity and inclusion in higher education.

Objectives

  • To ensure fair and equal access to all academic and co-curricular programs.
  • To sensitize the campus community on issues of diversity, inclusion, and affirmative action.
  • To monitor the implementation of reservation policies in admissions and recruitment.
  • To offer guidance and support for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • To address grievances related to discrimination and lack of opportunity.
